Having ridden from the age of 5 and brought up around various dogs, animals have always been Lauren's passion. She was lucky enough to own a pony from the age of 10 which, to her parent's horror, only fuelled the passion – now here we are! Lauren attended Hartpury College for 3 years (part of UWE Bristol) to obtain her BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Science, from there she went on to study a further 3 years and achieve her MSc McTimoney Animal Manipulation with Distinction whilst earning 'The Dean's Prize for Research' for her Dissertation on horse, saddle and rider interaction. Whilst at University, Lauren worked in mixed Veterinary practice gaining invaluable knowledge and experience. In addition, she has completed other courses to supplement her animal Chiropractic work including Merishia Massage and Veterinary Kinesio Taping.

On completion of her MSc, Lauren moved back to Cornwall to set up LJA McTimoney Animal Chiropractic (previously LJR McTimoney Animal Practitioner) in January 2016. She has been building a loyal customer base ever since.

In her spare time, Lauren enjoys competing on her own horses – Ette (pictured above), now 19 year old WB, they used to event together but now Lauren is trying to slow Ette down to a quieter life. Roo (Ette's son pictured on the homepage) is a 7 year old WB X Friesian who is currently learning the ropes amd hoping to follow in his mother's footsteps! Charlie (ex-racehorse) and Whisky (Welsh Moutain rescue) are pampered field ornaments enjoying an easy life with lots of cuddles.  You will often see Teg, Lauren's pooch, tagging along to appointments as she loves a day out in the van exploring new yards.
