Ambassadors

Our ambassadors are made up of three horse and rider combinations who we feel are shining examples of what we stand for. As part of the sponsorship package, each horse receives maintenance treatments every 3 months as this is our recommended interval for the competition horse. We are on hand 24/7 to provide guidance, advice and encouragement as our riders strive to achieve in a wide range of disciplines.  Here is a little introduction to each of them...

Emily Dunstan

Hey my names Emily, for the past 7 years I have worked for Cornwall Council and worked my way up to a Senior Systems Development Officer. I also work part time as a waitress in the evenings too. I currently have two horses who I keep at my parents small holding farm. My first ever horse was Sprite, a 14.3hh chestnut mare. Over the past 14 years we have turned our hand and hoof to most things, Sprite has taken me to things I could only ever imagine such as Badminton Grassroots and Olympia. Eventing was always our favourite but now Sprite is 25 years old we’ve been taking it a bit steadier. Most recently we were part of the BRC National winning Quadrille team. Lola is a 16.2hh British Sports Horse, I have owned her since she was an unbroken 3 year old. Since then it’s been quite a journey but the good days definitely out way the bad now. We mainly do British Eventing with the goal to hopefully get to Badminton Grassroots. For the past two years we have qualified and ridden at the BRC Horse Trials Championships at Swalcliffe. Lauren has been treating both my girls for the past couple of years, she is always creates such a relaxing atmosphere for the horses. After each treatment you always feel the difference once you get back in the saddle, they feel much free and even in their paces.

Arabella Surguy

I’m Arabella, a 14 year old from Falmouth. My family is horsey so we have a few equine family members! Millie is 20; I’ve had her since I was 7 and we've done pretty much everything together. Recently we’ve concentrated on Mounted Games and were in the local PC team which went all the way to Zones, which was very exciting! Dottie is 16 and I’ve had her since I was 10. We went to the NSEA championships at Hickstead (doing the 90cm and 100cm Eventers Challenge and the 100cm Showjumping), coming away with a couple of ribbons which was amazing as the classes were huge, the PC National Champs (Showjumping and Eventing) and our team has just qualified for the BRC 100cm Arena Eventing Championships. We got Betty early last year. She's 17 but we haven’t done much competing together yet as we are still getting to know each other. She’s 16.2hh so a very different ride to whizzy ponies! As our girls are all a bit older and have done a fair bit in their lives, we are conscious that they need extra care. Lauren has been incredibly supportive with this and has looked after them all the whole time they’ve been with us. She sees them all twice a year for their ‘MOT’s and will come and help if we think one of them isn’t quite right. We also still have my first pony, a 23 year old mini Shetland called Pip, and Lauren keeps her nice and supple too, so she can gallop around the field like a loon with our two Fell fillies, whom Lauren also treats to ensure they’re growing up nicely correct.

Sinead Martin

I’m Sinead, I’m a 23 year old Showjumper from Cornwall, currently based at Hartpury University with my horse whilst I study. I started Showjumping when I was 14 & I’ve had Abu for almost 5 years now - the best five years of my life by far! He’s a 16.2 10 year old Belgium Warmblood. Together we’re working our way up - we started jumping British Novice 5 years ago when he was a 5yo & this past year we have achieved some of our best results yet! We stepped up to some bigger tracks, jumped our first 1.30, was placed in the Grade C 1.25 and won the overall Foxhunter points for our area (51). He is a fantastic horse with a great brain in the ring who always tries his heart out for me. With the help of my fantastic trainer, my mum, and Lauren, we have a fabulous team alongside us. This year we are hoping to keep on with the results we’ve been having, being in a new area is (Gloucestershire) is a bit scary – so we're just hoping for another positive year! I’d like to continue him at the heights we are at for a while and hopefully step him up again next year once he is established at these bigger heights. Lauren is fantastic and gives me an extensive amount of support, she is the first person I call when I have suspicions something is wrong – and she always puts my mind at ease and helps me rectify problems. With Abu being a big horse at a higher level, there is a lot of strain put on his body physically, and I am so grateful for Lauren to be able to help maintain his good form to allow us to keep doing what we love to do.
